Sue Hains of Artisan Surfaces offers distinctive hand painted wall treatments, including attention getting, hand-painted trompe l'oeil murals. She does artwork for children and adults, businesses or homes, indoors or out, and cat, dog, horse, or other pet and animal portraits painted in a photo realistic style. Sue paints in Georgetown, Austin, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Salado, Round Rock, and other locations in Central Texas. Sue collaborates with the client to paint a beloved pet in a meaningful setting. Her life-like portraits have brought tears of joy to their owners. The butterflies she paints are thought to be alive by observers. Sue's love for her pets, wild animals, sea life, plants, and the natural world, combined with her degree in Natural History and life-long interest in painting come together imaginatively in her murals and paintings. Sue is also skilled in faux finishes and Old World Plastering. Her Old World Plastering was exhibited in the 2007 Cimarron Hills Parade of Homes and her exterior garden mural on KLRU's "Central Texas Gardener." She was one of the artists who painted the Georgetown mural on the square. She is certified by the Seattle Architectural Finishing Studio in professional architectural wall finishing.
